Police Arrest Six Males in Break and Enter Project

Region of PeelInvestigators from the 11 Division Break and Enter Unit have arrested six males as a result of an ongoing investigation into residential break and enters.  Project Red-Sag, began in September and focused on break and enters in Mississauga, Brampton and the GTA.

Project Red-Sag revealed this group to be actively committing residential break and enters throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The group was targeting jewelry, cash and other valuables in residences. The suspects were committing day time break and enters in the City of Oakville at the time of their arrest. A quantity of stolen property was recovered and returned to their rightful owners.

As a result of the investigation, four adults and two youths were arrested and charged with numerous Break & Enter related offences.

Kejel CAMPBELL, a 27 year old male from Brampton was arrested on Wednesday November 8, 2017. CAMPBELL has been charged with two counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime, two counts of Break, Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence and nine counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance. Kejel CAMPBELL was held for a bail hearing and was scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Thursday November 9, 2017.

Dakota CUSHING, an 18 year old male from Mississauga was arrested on Wednesday November 8, 2017. CUSHING has been charged with Possession Property Obtained by Crime, two counts of Break, Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Dakota CUSHING was held for a bail hearing and was scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Thursday November 9, 2017.

Rhjeed RUSSELL a 26 year old male from Brampton was arrested on Wednesday November 8, 2017. RUSSELL has been charged with Possession Property Obtained by Crime, two counts of Break, Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Operation While Disqualified.  Rhjeed RUSSELL was held for a bail hearing and was scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Thursday November 9, 2017.

Karran SINGH a 42 year old male from Brampton was arrested on Wednesday November 14, 2017. SINGH has been charged with Possession Property Obtained by Crime and Break, Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence.  Karran SINGH was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday December 15, 2017.

A 16 year-old male of no fixed address was arrested on Wednesday November 8, 2017 and was charged with two counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime, three counts of Break, Enter and Commit and Indictable Offence and Possession Break In InstrumentsHe was held for a bail hearing on Thursday November 9, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

A 17 year-old male from Mississauga was arrested on Friday November 10, 2017 and was charged with Possession Property Obtained by Crime, Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking and Fail to Comply with Sentence or Disposition. He was held for a bail hearing on Saturday November 11, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

The project, spearheaded by Peel Regional Police, was a collaborative effort from different police agencies including York Regional Police Service and Halton Regional Police Service.
